The NVIDIA Mellanox MFS1S00-H020V is a high-performance 200Gb/s QSFP56 Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF) active optical cable, delivering 20 meters of reliable connectivity for next-generation data centers and high-performance computing clusters. Designed for InfiniBand HDR (High Data Rate) and 200 Gigabit Ethernet environments, this AOC leverages 50Gb/s PAM4 modulation per lane (4x50G) to achieve aggregate 200Gb/s bandwidth. Compared to passive DACs, which are typically limited to 3-5 meters at 200G, the MFS1S00-H020V enables superior signal integrity over extended distances, tighter bend radii, reduced weight, and improved airflow, while consuming only 5.0W typical per end (with retiming enabled). Built with VCSEL arrays and integrated retiming circuitry, it provides bit error rates better than 1E-15 and predictable low latency. Fully compliant with SFF-8665 (QSFP56) and SFF-8636 management interface, the cable is hot pluggable and RoHS compliant.
