Designed for InfiniBand HDR (High Data Rate) and 200 Gigabit Ethernet environments, this AOC leverages 50Gb/s PAM4 modulation per lane (4x50G) to achieve aggregate 200Gb/s bandwidth. Compared to passive DACs, which are typically limited to 3-5 meters at 200G, the MFS1S00-H020V enables superior signal integrity over extended distances, tighter bend radii, reduced weight, and improved airflow, while consuming only 5.0W typical per end (with retiming enabled). Built with VCSEL arrays and integrated retiming circuitry, it provides bit error rates better than 1E-15 and predictable low latency. Fully compliant with SFF-8665 (QSFP56) and SFF-8636 management interface, the cable is hot pluggable and RoHS compliant.

The cable integrates programmable input equalizers and output pre-emphasis, enabling fine-tuning for various host systems to maximize link margin over the 20-meter distance. Retiming can be selectively enabled per lane, reducing jitter at high data rates while maintaining backward compatibility with lower speeds (e.g., 100Gb/s NRZ) when retiming is disabled. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket enhances fire safety in dense deployments. All active electronics are hermetically sealed inside the QSFP56 connector housings, requiring no external power beyond standard 3.3V from the host port. The cable supports rate select via SFF-8636 registers, allowing configuration for 25.78125 GBd NRZ (EDR) or 26.56250 GBd PAM4 (HDR) operation.
